Mental Fitness for Leaders: A perspective shift on self-care
Leaders often think of their people first. As a result, many leaders don’t focus on their own mental health until it’s too late. It’s unfortunate because not only do they set an example for their people (despite the best intentions) that it is selfish to take care of our own mental health, they miss out on building important awareness that will help them support their people better, and by only working on it when it’s a “problem” they miss out on the opportunity to improve their mental fitness.
